What Weeds?

Artworks by "Meadow in the North" exploring how how knowlegde and communication can improve our personal relationships with the natural world. Attempting to reignite people's awe and love for plants. Humanity learned how to make things grow but we aren't the only "gardeners" and we have somewhat forgotten how to be part of nature.

Finding a creative voice on the East Yorkshire Coast

Origionally from Surrey, I studied Illustration at Southampton Solent univeristy, took a couple of trips up north and fell in love with the landscape. Finally in a position to put my time and energy into my art again, I am exploring how to communicate my perspective on the relationships I see played out between humanity and the natural world. A sculptor, illustrator and mixed media artist, my canvas is anything I can get my hands on and my inspiration ranges from magestic oak trees to the humble pineapple weed. I sincerely believe that through understanding, everyone could be a little more fulfilled knowing the roll we play in the plant kingdom.
